Please join our team. Our processors and helpers enjoy working on tickets and meeting and greeting all of our show staff and our wonderful patrons, season ticket holders, and our quality community of theatre goers. The processors are individuals who work on the computer on shows and also taking messages through the year. There will be a training period for this group of individuals. The helpers require very little training. They will help the processor by meeting and greeting and selling tickets. It is a very light duty but it will guarantee a free ticket into a show; however, sometimes it is hard to get a ticket for the night you work. You can choose a night to see the show. Call us at (618) 537-4962.
Usher duties consist of arriving about an hour before the show, checking the usher area for any obstacles, making sure the table has programs and if there are any additional pages to add, opening the doors to the auditorium when the director or stage manager says it can be opened, greeting attendees, giving them a program, accepting the ticket, taking the people to their seats, closing the doors when the show is about to start, turning off the lights, taking latecomers to their seats, and after the show-check the theatre for any debris. Will receive a ticket for the performance. If you are interested in joining the ushers, please email your name, phone number and email address to LGPushers@gmail.com. In your email please indicate your preferred method of contact (email, text, phone). By adding your information to this list you are in no way obligated to usher, but you may occasionally receive correspondence asking for your help.
If you are interested in joining the concession team, please call us at (618) 537-4962. Concession duties consist of setting up food and drinks, selling to ticket holders, counting money, distribution, putting everything away, and cleaning up the theatre (emptying trash cans and sweeping out).
If you have just moved into the area or if you just have time on your hands to volunteer for some of our musicals, please call the theatre recorder (618) 537-4962 or call the director of the show you are interested in playing. Also you can come to the audition and ask for the Musical Director of the show and give that person your information. We all try to work as a team but sometimes information doesn’t get to the right individual.
Set Designers and Builders
If you are interested in volunteering for some great camaraderie with fellow designers/builders, please call the theatre recorder (618) 537-4962 or call the director of the show you are interested in helping. You can also come to the audition and ask for the Set Designer or Director of the show and give that person your information. We are always looking for helpers who can build or who can help in any way (painting, sweeping, cleaning, etc.).
Light and Sound Technicians
If you are interested in volunteering for the technical aspect of show direction, please call the theatre recorder (618) 537-4962 or call the director of the show you are interested in helping. You can also come to the audition and ask for the Sound Designer or Director of the show and give that person your information. This is more technically driven and you might need direction on how to work the light and sound boards.
